Musical Genre:
Roll failed by 6 or more: Vanilla Ice failure (so horrible that any thoughts of starting over again are scorned on by other players)
Roll failed by 4 to 5: Milli Vanilli failure. So bad that while you looked competent, everybody now knows you were faking it all the time.
Roll failed by 2 to 3: The Waitresses failure (a band that you have probably never heard of; a typical garage band that is forgotten by most people and you might make a comeback and not be totally humiliated, just slightly embarrassed)
Roll failed by 1: Beck failure (remember "Loser"? Just about to catch on but suddenly decided not to)
Roll made by 0 or 1: Annie Lennox success (you have to admit she had a few hits, but you dont really care)
Roll made by 2 to 3: Tears for Fears success, A-Ha success, Green Day success (certainly a few hits, definitely a few hard core fans around the world, and almost everyone has heard your name *somewhere*, tho probably not folks who enjoy Lawrence Welk).
Roll made by 4 to 5: Aerosmith success, Grateful Dead success, Duran Duran success, Rolling Stones success (you live in a stone cell if you havent heard of these people at least once, and almost everyone has a favorite song from each group, or at least recognizes a tune. You could probably fill a concert hall almost anywhere on the planet).
Roll made by 6 or more: U2 success, **Beatles success** (everyone on the planet has heard these people, people in foreign countries listen to your songs no matter what language you sing in, you could turn a garbage dumpster into the most awesome acoustic system in the world, and you could basically say and do whatever you want and people will still buy from you).

Movie Genre:
Roll failed by 6 or more: "Waterworld" failure
Roll failed by 4 to 5: "Ishtar" failure (Ishtar sucked even more, but it was at least cheaper)
Roll failed by 2 to 3: "Eddie" failure
Roll failed by 1: "Dragonheart" failure (came close to being cool, had good actors even, but it just didnt have enough oomph)
Roll made by 0 or 1: "Any movie starring Charles Bronson" success (good, but predictable, good just to kill time)
Roll made by 2 to 3: "Mission Impossible" success (good movie, but nothing that just knocked the socks off of you)
Roll made by 4 to 5: "Spartacus" success, "Cleopatra" success,"Jurassic Park" success (great movie, great acting, everything just gelled right)
Roll made by 6 or more: "Casablanca" success, "Star Wars" success,"Gone With the Wind" success (everyone has at least heard of the movie, people still rent it, lines are quoted from it, the movies have been linked to almost everything imaginable by sociology researchers, the actors are so good they are almost always typecast, etc.)

Pop Culture ("Savoie") Genre:
Roll failed by 6 or more: Catastrophic failure to the googolplex power ("I was fixing the reactor when I accidentally hit the Atmosphere Evacuation button and cut power to the ship. We have 30 seconds before decompression").
Roll failed by 4 to 5: Totally bogus failure, we have lovely parting gifts for you, thanks for playing.
Roll failed by 2 to 3: The infamous "awwww" failure. You try so hard, you endure so much, but when you fail at least you get sympathy from the audience.
Roll failed by 1: The Windows 95 success (it works, but not the way it should and you still cant get it to do everything you want to).
Roll made by 0 or 1: The Maytag repairman success factor (it works, nothing fancy, and people probably wont really notice it either).
Roll made by 2 to 3: The Maytag repairman success factor (it works, nothing fancy, and people probably wont really notice it either).
Roll made by 4 to 5: The Bruce Lee/Jackie Chan/Pierre Savoie/Crusader/JMS success (it is done so completely well that in each respective field the master makes it look easy; only skilled people in the know realize how much skill/talent/luck it actually took).
Roll made by 6 or more: The Tom Cruise/Adam Sandler success saga (Tom jumping off an exploding helicopter while landing on a bullet train unharmed? And Happy Gilmore sinking that shot thru the pipes near the end of the film? Suuuurrrrrreeee. . . .players and GM look at your dice to make sure that they aren't loaded, and ISN gives the move if performed in public *complete* attention (.25 seconds by their standards. . .) Or also known as the "I can somehow watch DS9 and B5 and not really hate the other series by some miracle in my thinking. . . ."
